How to use a pace band
- Print it. Regular paper works; card stock survives rain better.
- Cut out the strip along the border, wrap it around your wrist, and tape it — or laminate it with clear packing tape first.
- On race day, glance at the band at each marker: if the race clock is behind your band time, you're ahead of goal.
Not sure the goal is right? Sanity-check it on your goal's page — every common target from a 3 hour marathon to a 40 minute 5K is covered in Goal Paces — and practice your rhythm with the Cadence Trainer before the big day.
